My second pregnancy was unexpected. Things weren't pretty good at my health side as I was recovering from COVID and stomach ulcer hence things were pretty uncertain. What made it even more complicated was moving in to a completely new city for me ie Mumbai. Unsure about good medical facility in my near by area i went to cloudnine hospital as it was a Maternity specialized hospital. There I met Dr Pooja Shukla and raised all my concern and health issues. She not only was a very patient with all my queries but she guided me at my concern. The first time I heard the heart beat of my baby me and my husband both were elated ♥️. But this was not it continuously juggling from office work to handling pregnancy was getting difficult. In my second trimester I got gestational diabeties, hypertension and severe abdominal pain. Dr Pooja Shukla was always there to constantly guide, gave me best possible medications and was keeping track with multiple sonography just to ensure that me and the baby is fine. I cannot forget her constant reminder to me that Shipra for me both the health of baby and you is important. Be it on overnight calls or early morning checkup Dr Pooja Shukla was always there for me. As i reached my third trimester due to hypertension, uncontrollable gestational diabeties i experienced breathlessness even i couldn't feel my baby movements. My heart sank and we panicked. My family immediately contacted Dr Pooja Shukla who was not in the town recommended me to admitted in a near multi-speciality hospital. Within no time she spoke to the doctor's there and arranged everything for me even before i could reach there. I can never forget the day called me 12 in the night and ask me about health and reiterated that for me it doesn't matter who does the delivery but you and the baby should be safe. My situation was brought under control and the she was constantly in touch with the doctor's there . Finally after consulting with an endocrinologist her team Dr Pooja Shukla and we decided to go for an elective C section which was still risky as it was only 33 weeks and the baby was still very premature. On 24 February my son Ved was born. 😊♥️ It wasn't a easy journey but the constant support and guidance given by Dr Pooja Shukla along with the support of my family both me and my baby was healthy and happy. 😊 The post operation care given my cloudnine was exceptionally well. The hospital rooms were very good and clean. Staff was courteous and polite. All facilities including food and medical was good. Both me and my husband would like to thank Dr Pooja Shukla as she provided me the best in class most advanced treatment, she diagnosed my issues properly, was constant support, her correct guidance brought us out of the risk of losing my baby and her timely tracking of growth of the child and the same time comforting me all the emotional trauma i went through. ♥️ Angels always do not come in fairy tails but some also come with the white coat saving lives. Today we are the proud parents of a very sweet and healthy baby. When we met Dr. Pooja for the first time it was like we are meeting one of our old friend or I can say she is like the elder sister. Journey of pregnancy was so smooth and joyful with her as she was always there with us for even a very small query. We were positive at the beginning itself but it was she who made the complete journey happier. We find her very different than any other Doctor as she gives more time to patient and explain the issues if any, whenever she write any medical test, she explain everything in details about the requirement, benefit and result she want to get from it etc. It was the second phase of corona & we got covid positive which was the toughest part, but it was Dr. Pooja who kept us really positive ensuring that there was no harm to our baby. The best part was that even she was carrying at that time but she made herself always available to us, this proves that she always gives priority to her patients and cares for them. She is such a great person to talk with that anyone will forget the problem he or she is facing and that is how a doctor should be who makes you forget your problems. She is humble, very caring by nature and most important she is very much passionate about her work. People say “Dr. is second God” she make this phrase True. DR. POOJA SHUKLA Our meeting with Dr. Pooja was fateful and in my opinion something that destiny had in store for me. So our was an IVF Conception and we were elated at the thought of finally having our first child. We thought it was going to be a smooth ride but unfortunately It wasn’t to be. For my routine scans and pregnancy follow-ups, I decided to visit the Women’s Hospital Khar as I & my family had been visiting that hospital for the past 20 years for our gynaecology related issues. Our initial consultations and scans were good. The pregnancy was progressing well and I was on course with my medication & high protein diet which my doctor had advised. However In my 7th month of pregnancy, one of the days I felt that the foetal movements were not the usual. I called the hospital and was asked to come in for a doppler check. The heartbeat was normal and my doctor advised me to come in for a scan the next day. Looking at the scan, the sonologist informed us that my AFI has significantly dropped and from 15 to 9, although the growth parameters were normal until then. My Doctor advised me to go on a high protein diet and take 3 alamine infusions in 9-10 days. I followed and we were asked to get a scan done after 2 weeks. In the follow-up the AFI was stagnant at 8, however the growth parameters had dropped and our baby was not growing as per gestational age. My doctor tagged the slow growth to the low AFI and the mother’s nutrition not reaching the baby which she said happens. In our follow-up scan after 2 weeks the parameters had fallen even further and my doctor just asked me to keep on with the diet and follow up after 2 weeks. During this entire period my doctor did not think of investigating ‘Why the AFI was falling?’. Considering I reside in Kandivali, we had thought of going to Cloudnine in my last stages of pregnancy to keep it was a backup option in case of emergency. However the circumstances were such that we thought of visiting Cloudnine for a second opinion, we booked an appointment with Dr. Pooja considering her background and reviews. In our first meeting which was 3 days after our last scan, she patiently listened to our entire case history and her first action was to investigate’ Why my AFI was low’. She explained us the factors why it happens during which she mentioned placental calcification as one of the reasons why AFI and growth reduces. She got a few blood tests done which came out normal. She also got an NST done to check the well being of the baby and a scan done to check on the calcification. The scan confirmed the presence of calcification in the placenta, however looking at the NST she thought lets push it as much as we can with close monitoring to ensure the baby does not have to be in the NICU for long. She gave me an injection to prepare the baby for an early delivery and at the same time put me on a blood thinner injection so that my nutrition can reach the baby. She put us on a closely monitored schedule of 2 scans, 2 NSTs, consultation, some medications to help with the growth and also advised on a diet which directly impacts the baby’s growth. After a week, we miraculously saw an increase in baby’s growth, the weight increased from 1760gms to 1962gms to 2114gms in 2 weeks. It was because of her approach that I could enter the 9th month of my pregnancy. After I completed my 35th week she advised us to deliver. She always said,” You can give the baby all the nutrition it wants once its out, do not crave for 50-60gms of weight increase inside”. She delivered me and I had baby boy. The baby was doing well except for some grunting which was because of some fluid entering the baby’s lungs. He was put on oxygen for 4 days after which he was handed over to us. I am glad I met Dr. Pooja at a time when nothing was going right, I am glad she patiently listened to us, guided in the right direction and eventually delivered at the right time. I am and will forever be incredibly grateful to her.

I am a first time mother and that comes with a lot of queries , constant self doubt , excitement and a whole bundle of emotions . Having a good doctor who understands what you are going through is one of the most important aspects of this beautiful journey and I am very grateful that I found Dr. Pooja Shukla . Since the very first appointment she made me feel extremely comfortable and all my queries even the smallest ones were addressed in the most professional yet friendly way . Ive known Dr Pooja since 7 years now. I met her for my first pregnancy at Wockhardt hospital and after consulting 3 gynaecs, I felt Dr Pooja was the best, most approachable and friendly doctor who was ready to explain every tiny detail of the changes during pregnancy and never consulted or asked to meet,just to prescribe you unnecessary medications. She is a perfect professional and makes you feel comfortable and there to hear you out any time of the day. I had a successful first delivery of a baby boy. For my second delivery post 5 years gap, I again consulted a doctor close to my place, however came back to Dr Pooja although I live far from Malad as I was able to get the comfort needed only by consulting her. I was fortunate to find a best dr. in my very first experience at Cloud nine hospital. In fact, it wouldn’t be a lie if I say that I continued at the cloud nine hospital mainly because of Dr. Pooja. She is the most approachable, friendly, understanding gynaecologist dr. I ever met in my life. Based on my past delivery experience, I didn’t have a good image about gynac dr. but Dr. Pooja changed my perception. She is available for help even if you call her at 4.am in the morning (and believe me I did call her at weird times during my pregnancy). She keeps entire nine months pregnancy treatment/process as much natural as possible and do not prescribe unnecessary medicines/tests like other so called best gynac in the city do. I am not an easy patient to manage and takes stress unnecessarily but she managed me with lot of love and care. I really wish I could have found her for my first pregnancy as well. Like everyone we were also very skeptical about selecting our gynecologist especially considering the current scenario of corona. This was my second pregnancy but I faced more health issues compared to previous one. Dr. Pooja is one of the best doctors i have come across till date... She is so knowledgeable yet so polite and friendly... She has complete knowledge of each and every query related to her subject....I came across Dr. Pooja through internet... I got pregnant in the month of Jan 2021 and had no idea which gynaecologist to consult and which maternity home to select for delivery... I was blessed to have Dr.Pooja Shukla as my consultant during my pregnancy. Through the pregnancy, she gave me a great comfort with her cordial approach and professional guidance. At 31 weeks, she noticed few changes in my sonographies, which were too minor to b acted upon.. but she was prompt to pick it up and brave to intervene.. I just closed my eyes n I trusted her without a second thought.. And when I opened my eyes, they were right in front of me, my miracles.. Dr Pooja is a God sent angel for my family. She made sure everything went smooth and non traumatic for me and my family... I m sure my babies will soon call her MASI MAA!!!
